Irresistible Ibiza Holidays

One thing comes to mind when holidays to Ibiza are mentioned: it’s party time. Regarded as one of the top clubbing destinations in Europe, this little island has a reputation throughout the world as being the number one place for a 'beach by day, party by night' kind of holiday. While this reputation has been rightly earned, there is more to Ibiza holidays than meets the eye. Away from the pubs and clubs, sleepy villages are sprinkled along the coastline while further inland, dense pine tree forests are a haven for nature enthusiasts. If you go far enough off the beaten track, you may even find your own private beach.

Fun in the Sun

San Antonio is the party town of Ibiza and the Ibiza Rocks Festival is its heart, with major acts playing right in the building every summer. If you intend to rave until all hours on a holiday to Ibiza, this is the place to do it. Nearby Figueretas is a better choice for those who want a mix of culture and relaxation while still being close to the party action. Playa Es Cana are ideal for young families who want fun filled holiday on the beach, while Santa Eulalia offers a slower pace and more secluded coves to enjoy.

Hidden Treasures

Ibiza knows what its visitors like and you'll find everything you could possibly want or need without having to go too far; good food, the best clubs, and of course, the beach. Temperatures reach highs of 30C in the warmest months of July and August while outside of high season, expect average temperatures of around 20C. If you’re looking for laid back Ibiza holidays, visit in autumn and you'll practically have the whole island to yourself.

Believe it or not, holidays to Ibiza offer access to some museums and ancient ruins, as well as a cathedral and some admirable historic architecture. It pays to stray away from the big resorts and enjoy the peaceful island life of the locals. For a genuine taste of Balearic cuisine, paella is the way to go, although seafood also comes in the more familiar form of fish and chips if you're missing the taste of home.

Better than food, clubs or history is the luscious landscape of the island. Gentle waves and curving coastline decorated with palm and pine trees are what makes Ibiza holidays truly special. A sunset on the beach is not to be missed.
